Corzine backs gas tax holiday

New Jersey Gov. Jon S. Corzine is shifting gears about a federal gas tax holiday this summer.
Speaking on CNBC Monday, the Democrat supports the idea floated by Republican presidential candidate John McCain and embraced by Hillary Clinton.
Corzine, who has endorsed Clinton's presidential bid, last week said New Jersey couldn't afford a state gas tax holiday and questioned how the federal government could afford one.
But Corzine says Clinton's proposal to use money from a new tax on oil company profits would ensure the holiday is paid for without undermining the nation's ability to invest in alternative energy and other needs.

1Interesting post!
2I would really like it to happen, but I'm not very hopeful.
